Lianne Thompson
Throughout my life, I’ve sought every opportunity to connect with nature—a passion that has shaped my path as a wildlife photographer, science communicator, and conservation guide. With a degree in Zoology, experience as a zookeeper and animal behaviourist, and a Master’s in Science Communication, I’ve dedicated my career to bridging the gap between science and storytelling. Photography has become my lens for translating complex ecological ideas into powerful, emotional narratives that connect people with wildlife and wild places. My guiding work has taken me across the globe—from the bear-filled rainforests of British Columbia to the mountain forests of Uganda and the bird cliffs of Iceland—where I teach others not only how to elevate their photography but how to see the world through a conservation-focused lens. Whether capturing quiet moments in remote landscapes or the raw energy of wildlife in motion, I’m passionate about helping others forge deeper, lasting connections to the natural world through the art and impact of visual storytelling.
