Expedition Policies & Guidelines
Please take a moment to read the following policies and guidelines as failure to comply may result in booking dismissal or guest removal, possibly without refund.

By registering with wildsight expeditions, participants agree to all terms outlined on this page.
To secure your spot, a deposit of $2500CAD is required at the time of booking and we must receive your Expedition Profile form within 30 days of booking.
If your Expedition Profile form is not received in this time frame, you forfeit your spot on this trip. Reasonable effort will be made to get in contact with you prior to your removal from the trip. Your deposit will not be refunded. -
Guests must adhere to the payment schedule, as listed in the info-packet.
Failure to do so will incur a $500CAD late fee and may also result in forfeiture of your place on the expedition and all payments made to date, unless prior arrangements have been approved in writing. -
All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable) and are effective as of the date received by wildsight expeditions.
Deposits
The initial deposit of $2500CAD is non refundable upon cancellation at any time
Further payments
Please refer to your info-packet as the cancellation policy for any payment other than the deposit is trip specific. However, all refunds incur a 10% transaction fee.
Non-participation, no-Shows, and early departures
No refunds will be issued for participants who:
- Do not attend the tour
- Arrive late
- Leave early for any reason

The tour leaders of wildsight expeditions have overriding authority during our trips. By booking with us, you agree to this. If you commit any illegal act while on expedition with us or, if in the opinion of the tour leaders or ground operators your behaviour is detrimental to the safety and welfare of the group as a whole, you may, after being cautioned at least once and failing to respond to the said caution, be asked to leave the expeditions without any right to refund.

Wildsight expeditions reserves the right to modify and/or cancel an expedition at any point to ensure the wellbeing and safety of guests or to ensure overall guest experience.
Expedition modifications
In the event an expedition itinerary is modified for any of the reasons above, no refunds will be provided.
Expedition cancellation
Some expeditions require a minimum number of guests to run. If wildsight expeditions cancels an expedition due to insufficient enrollment, all payments (including deposit) will be credited for a future expedition. Refunds will be considered under circumstances.
No refunds will be issued if an expedition is cancelled due to events beyond our control included, but not limited to:
Acts of God or government,
Natural disasters,
Political unrest or terrorism,
Pandemic-related disruptions,
Civil unrest, or
Any circumstances that makes operations of the tour unsafe or impossible,
though wildsight expeditions will make reasonable efforts to apply your payments toward a future expedition.

Guests are required to disclose any health conditions or other concerns in their Expedition Profile. Based on the details provided, and in conjunction with the trip information packet and website details, our team may assess whether the expedition is the right fit for you. If any potential health, safety or other concerns arise that would significantly impact your or the group experience, we will contact you directly to discuss next steps and we reserve the right to decline your booking with a refund (minus the deposit).
If, during the trip, we discover any undisclosed information that may impact your safety or the safety of any fellow guests, guides or operators, we reserve the right to deny your participation in activities and/or remove you from the trip. In any case, a refund will not be issued.

Any violation of the following Code of Conduct may result in the immediate removal from the expeditions at the participant’s own expense. No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of the tour.
Code of Conduct:
All participants are expected to abide by the following standards of behaviour:
- Respect for tour leaders and staff
Follow instructions from tour leaders, guides, and any other staff and/or operator
Disrespect, refusal to follow directions, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated
- Respect for fellow participants
Treat others with kindness and professionalism
Avoid monopolizing the guides’ time or disrupting others’ photography
Harassment, discrimination, or bullying will result in removal from the tour
wildsight is dedicated to created an inclusive environment and accepts participants from all walks of life, regardless of gender, race, culture or background and expects fellow participants to support this inclusive environment
Age restrictions may apply to ensure group and wildlife safety and overall trip enjoyment. Our trips require a minimum age of 18+. Please contact us for possible exceptions.

Be punctual and ready for schedule activities
Comply with all safety protocols
Respect local customs, wildlife, and communities
Be prepared for itinerary modifications that are in the best interest of the group
- Alcohol and substance use
Responsible alcohol consumption is permitted in appropriate settings.
Intoxicated, inappropriate, or disruptive behaviour is grounds for dismissal
Illegal drug use is strictly prohibited
